New Patient Appointments
Your first acupuncture appointment with the clinic includes a thorough discussion of your health history and health concerns, Chinese medical diagnosis including pulse and tongues evaluation, and a full acupuncture treatment. This appointment includes writing an herbal prescription for those patients treating with herbal medicine.
The appointment is 90 minutes and the cost is $135. New patient appointments are required for all new acupuncture patients at Jade Mountain Wellness.
Follow Up Acupuncture Appointments
Subsequent acupuncture appointments last between 60 and 75 minutes and the cost is $90.
Acupuncture appointments include herbal prescription writing and formulating. The price of herbs is extra.
Herbal Medicine Appointments
New Patient Herbal Medicine Consultation
Initial herbal medicine appointments include a in-depth health history and health concern discussion, Chinese medical diagnosis (including pulse and tongue), and the writing of your herbal prescription. This appointment last 60 minutes and the cost $100.
Follow Up Appointments
Subsequent herbal medicine appointments last 30 minutes and the cost is $50.
Herbal medicine consultation appointments do not include an acupuncture treatment.
Herbal Medicine Costs
Customized herbal formulas typically cost about $20-30 weekly, about $3-4 a day. The price of herbs is not included as part of the herbal prescription writing process.
Rescheduling and Cancellations
We schedule each appointment time for one patient and ask for a minimum of 48 hours advance notice if you need to reschedule.
If there is a personal emergency, sickness or inclement weather, cancellation with less notice is fine.
If less than 48 hours notice is given, full payment is expected for the missed or rescheduled appointment.
We accept major credit cards (excluding American Express), checks, and cash. Payment is due at the end of your visit.
For those interested in using insurance, our clinic is able to bill Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United, Empire United, the VA and Workman’s Compensation although not all health insurance plans cover acupuncture. Please contact our office prior to your appointment if you wish to use your insurance so that we can pre-verify your coverage.
